So hey. How’s it?
I haven’t been around much. Got a lot on my mind. I’m sure y’all understand.
Not really much into talking. I’ll leave you with pictures instead.
I was pretty excited to hit up the clearance sale at Sally this past weekend. I was able to get my hands on some great finds. And because I had a “$5 off a purchase of $5 or more” coupon from renewing my card, I only paid $0.77 for four polishes. Four of them.
Exciting yes?
This is one of the great finds.
No Plain Jane is one of the lovely duochromes released in the Bohemian Collection.
And since it’s New Year’s Eve, as if the pretty duochrome wasn’t enough, I decided to layer a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust on it. Holographic glitter deliciousness.
Be safe out there tonight.
I hope everyone is enjoying their chrimmas.
I know I am.
I started off with the famous Peppermint Bark mani (in honor of Nicole, who I miss very much).
Then, at my SFAM’s request, I added a Rudolph accent nail.
Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good night.
Enjoy.
I know I’m so behind with this, but I’ve actually had these for a little bit. I swatched them over a black creme so you could see the unadulterated awesome.
First, the not-so-impressive bottle shots:
And then the finger swatches (in alphabetical order from thumb to pinkie):
Flashy (index) is your Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure and Nubar 2010 Dupe, so it’s nothing you haven’t seen before. The others however… are HAWT.
I have two that swap between first and second place in my favorites (Twisted is currently winning with Asylum coming in a close second) and two that are vying for third and fourth (Motley and Flecked).
Which are your favorites?
Enjoy!
P.S. For those of you who might not have caught up with my announcement on Twitter, the hubs and I decided that our home is in Mobile, AL. That’s where we’re heading. We’ve missed the area terribly. And I’ve missed him dearly, but we’ll be seeing each other again this weekend!
And Carnival season is upon us. I will definitely be glad to be back in Mobile for that!
Good morning and Happy Holidays y’all.
I’ve been really lax this holiday season. There’s many reasons, but mostly it has to do with the hubs being in our new house in New Jersey, and I’m still stuck in Florida. This is the first time we’ve had to miss our wedding anniversary (5 years) and chrimmas. So being unable to snap out of the funk, I’ve not been able to dazzle and blow your minds with nail art (even though I originally had some nifty-ness lined up). Maybe I can save it for next year if it’s still relevant.
Anyhow, I wanted to show you guys China Glaze’s Party Hearty–another one of those polishes I got last year that I was never able to show.
Party Hearty is large red hex, small green hex (at least they look hex-shaped. I’ve got my face pressed against my nail and that is what i see), and silver (maybe gold too, I can’t tell) microglitter. Literally a party in a bottle.
But I wanted to show you just how versatile it really is:
These swatches are all three coats over different colors (except the index was just over basecoat, so you get an idea of how it looks on it’s own).
I really like how the silver and gold turned out. By the way, that’s China Glaze Millenium & Julep Sienna.
BUT I have to say, my new favorite way of wearing Party Hearty comes via Nicole of Nightly Nails fame:
PEPPERMINT BARK!!! Which also happens to be my favorite holiday candy.
Incidentally, this is my first glitter sammich too. Ha!
Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
