Today’s post begins my new segment which will run throughout October: 31 Days of Halloween.
I am truly excited about the whole month of October. Halloween is my favorite holiday. Or if you prefer, Samhain (pronounced “sow-in”). Samhain is a pagan (particularly Celtic) holiday–it was a celebration of the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the long, cold winter season.
It’s the time when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead is at its thinnest, and spirits can freely traverse into the land of the living *eyebrow wiggle*.
On to the mani:
Fortune Teller is delicious orange multi-sized hex glitter in a black base.
It’s perfectly opaque in two coats. I advise doing one coat over a black creme–that way you get to use sparingly and it still looks great. This is two coats with a coat of Seche.
If you are able to get your paws on this color, I highly recommend that you do it. Don’t hesitate.
And just because I can, I mattified it up for you with China Glaze Matte Magic (which, I’m pretty sure, is my favorite way to wear this polish).
*************************************************************************************************
CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENTRIES!
***Can I have your attention please?? This is the best part…***
I have an extra bottle of China Glaze’s Fortune Teller for one of my readers! It’s never been used, but the “Glaze” part of the logo came off when I pulled off the price sticker. You probably can’t see it in the picture below, but I felt it was only fair to warn you so you’re not looking at me all crazy-eyed when you get it.
As a special bonus, the lucky winner will also receive the new Pumpkin Spice color from Sally Hansen.
ALSO! I am including a couple of Creepy Cute Crochet critters (alliteration ftw!)
We have a Grim Reaper and a Devil. And I made them myself.

These have small parts & I don't recommend them for young children. Besides, why would you want to give them away??!
Here’s the “How To” and “When” portion of my announcement:
You have to write a haiku about Halloween and post it in the comments on this post. Actually, I don’t care if you write it, but they’re fun as hell, so you might as well write it yourself and get some additional enjoyment. Also include your email in your comment so I can contact you when your awesome talents land you this much-coveted prize. LoL
The haiku will be judged by me as well as two outside friends who are haiku experts (sorta).
One haiku per customer please.
The contest will end on October 15, 2011 11:59 Central Time (two weeks) and is open to everyone. The winner will be emailed as soon as he/she is chosen and has 48 hours to get back with me. If I don’t hear from you, I will have to email the 2nd place winner, and they will get your bottles of HTF awesomeness. And you will be sad.
Don’t let that happen, k?
If there are any questions, please let me know. Good Luck and Enjoy!
